Melissa Bryant has been practicing workers’ compensation since 2010, working at a nationwide Workers’ Compensation Defense firm for 12 years, before joining The Law Offices of Hirschl Mullen. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Communications with a Minor in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University and a Juris Doctor Degree from Western State College of Law. She is a member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
Ms. Bryant has served as senior counsel on prominent national client panels. She handles all aspects of discovery and litigation in the defense of Worker’s Compensation claims. Her practice includes representation of permissibly self-insured employers, employers with high deductible policies, insurance carriers and adjusting agencies.
Ms. Bryant is very attentive to her client’s needs, wants and expectations. She excels in identifying opportunities to best manage and mitigate client exposures in workers compensation matters. Ms. Bryant has an innovative file handling methodology that yields excellent client results and a very loyal client following.
Ms. Bryant provides personal and prompt attention to her clients and is mindful of how a positive team approach yields successful results in the defense of workers compensation claims. Ms. Bryant has excellent communication skills and works closely with all team members inclusive of the claims examiners, claims supervisors, safety managers, brokers and risk managers in defending claims. She is highly skilled in conducting depositions of injured workers, physicians and witnesses.
She has a multifaceted approach to claims that permit her to negotiate nuisance value settlements, defend life pension claims, resolve death claims, and if necessary, litigate a claim through Trial and on to a Petition for Reconsideration when needed with proven successful results.
Ms. Bryant engages in thorough comprehensive case handling and is constantly evaluating litigation and discovery considerations to bring about the most expeditious resolution to best serve her clients.
Outside of work, Ms. Bryant spends times wither her three miniature schnauzers (Dylan, Delilah and Daphne), enjoys the beach, starting the day with the sunrise and ending the day watching the sunset, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
